1910 United Newspapers was created to buy out Lloyd’s newspapers, separating them from the paper-making side which continued as Edward Lloyd Ltd.
1911 Became a public company.
1914 Paper manufacturers, wholesale and export stationers. Employees 2,000. [2]
Sold the newspaper and publishing interests to a separate company
1927 Allied Newspapers acquired a large majority of shares in the company from the Lloyd family[3]
1936 Allied Newspapers sold its interests, including the paper mills at Sittingbourne and Kemsley, to Bowater Paper Mills[4]
