Brass models of patent shroud blocks, for setting up ships' rigging, and raising weights, as a substitute for the wooden dead-eye now in use. One man can raise, with a pair of these blocks, a weight of three tons. A patent portable screw winch, for setting up ships' rigging, and for hoisting iu cargo or raising great weights on shore.
