1890 North Road Club 24-Hour Cycle Race

From Graces Guide

1890 September. 'In the 24 hours cycling race of the North Road Club on Saturday the records for both bicycles and tricycles were broken. M. A. Holbein the wellknown long distance rider, covered 336.5 miles on a bicycle, this being 12.5 miles better than the previous record; and Bidlake on a tricycle did 289 miles, thus beating by nine miles the best performance previously.'[1]
