'Mr. D. Resta, driving Mr. Louis Coatalen's 30 horsepower six-cylinder Sunbeam, accomplished another splendid performance at Brooklands yesterday when he beat world's records for one hour and 100 miles. The old figures, in both cases are held by Mr. C. M. Smith who three ago, driving Mr. R. Warriner's 60-horse-power six-cylinder Thames, averaged approximately 89.5 miles an hour. Mr. Resta's mean speed was approximately 92.5 miles an hour, the details of his new records being as follows:- One hour., 92 miles 797 yards. or 92.45 miles per hour: 100 miles, 1r. 4m. 51.16s. or 92.52 miles per hour.[1]
