Held on Thursday the 17th July 1913.

'The previous best performances in section B of the cylinder capacity classes, up to the four hours were considerably unproved upon at Brooklands yesterday by a four-cylinder Humber motor car driven by Mr. W. G. Tuck. The car stopped only twice to change tyres and fill up with petrol, once in the thirteenth lap and again in the hundredth. The new figures are: One hour - 66 miles 286 yards equals 61.16 m.p.h.; Two-hours -176 miles 134 yds, equals 68.04 m.p.h.: Three hours — 203 miles 546 yards equals 67.77 m.p.h.; Four hours - 1272 miles 1606 yards equals 68.23 m.p.h.'[1]
