In the 500 c.c., Graham Walker (Rudge-Whitworth) won covering 250 miles in 2 hours 33 minutes 37 seconds. The average speed was 80.87 miles per hour, and the second man was C. J. P. Dodson (Sunbeam) 79.95 m.p.h.). Walker broke the course record of 78 m.p.h. by covering the last lap in 84 m.p.h.

The 350 c.c. class was won by F. A. Longman (Velocette) at 74.31 m.p.h. The second being L. H. Davenport (A.J.S.) 72.43 m.p.h.

In the 250 c.c. F. L. Taylor (O.K.) won at 65.41 m.p.h. The only finisher in the 500 c.c. and over was G. Bickerton (Zenith) who won at 67.17 m.p.h.

There was only one serious accident during the meeting, that being of J. C. Allen, of Ayr, who crashed and sustained a fractured skull. He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, and never regained consciousness, dying in the evening. By the death of Mr Allen, Ayr has lost one of its cleverest and most outstanding motor cyclists.[2]
