1865 Founded by John Alfred Massey.

1913 Alexander Massey and Sons Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £50,000, to take over the business of Alex Massey and Sons, provision merchants, exporters and importers, ham curers, sausage makers, and general produce and provision warehousemen in Glasgow.[1] At some point the company's name was changed to A. Massey and Sons Limited.

1962 Head office staff were concentrated in the offices of Allied Suppliers (Scotland) Ltd[2]

1999 The company was dissolved.[3]
