1934 Alexander Mather and Son Limited, Orwell Works, Orwell Terrace, Dalry Road, Edinburgh, was registered as a private company, with capital of £8,000, to carry on the business of engineers, millwrights, iron and brass founders, and boiler makers.[1]

1993 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
