A. Roodenburg, Ing, graduated from the Academy of Technical Sciences, Rotterdam, in 1950, Most of his professional career has been spent in Western Europe working in heavy engineering design and in design and sales of power transmission equipment.

In 1959, he joined gear manufacturers PIV Antrieb Werner Reimers KG, of Bad Homburg, where he is now Export Sales Manager. He is a regular visitor to the UK, where the products of Reimers are sold by the British company Positive Infinitely Variable (Transmissions) Ltd.
