1895 'Messrs. Victor Coates and Co., Limited, Belfast, have received an order from Messrs. A. and A. Crompton and Co., Limited, of Shaw, near Oldham, for a large triple-expansion engine of their special design, cylinders 20 in., 31 in., and 50 in. in diameter by 4 ft. stroke, for a working pressure of 160 lb.'[2]
1898 The company was registered on 14 October, in reconstruction of a company carrying on the business of cotton spinners, under the same title. [3]
1964 Acquired by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation.[4] The mill was closed later that year.[5]
