1959 Formation of a consortium by ACC Ltd (Amalgamated Cement Companies was India's oldest cement company), Vickers Ltd., and Babcock and Wilcox Ltd

1961 'Excellent progress has been made with the construction of the heavy engineering factory at Durgapur in Bengal'[1]

1966 'Power station boilers and cement plants will keep ACC-Vickers-Babcock Limited in India fully occupied for about 2.5 years.'[2]

1981 Name changed to ACC-Babcock Ltd., after the disinvestment of its shareholding by Vickers.
