The research lab was at Aldermaston in Berkshire some 14 miles west of Reading. I worked there as a draftsman from 1953 to 1958, it closed later, I believe in 1960. Just before I left a nuclear reactor was installed.

The lab was frequently mistaken for the AWRE which was next to us. I believe that about 350 people worked there. The property was Aldermaston Manor which is now an education facility.
