Abergavenny Sewerage Works Bridge

This combined footbridge and pipe bridge across the River Usk/Wysg was illustrated in The Engineer 1885/02/13. Designed by Dudley and De Salis of Westminster. 130ft. 10in. span. 'The drawings we give are sufficiently complete to need no other description than that which they themselves convey.' The bridge supported a 21 inch diameter sewer pipe, above which was a wooden footway.
The bridge has been replaced by the one shown here.
