1885 Born in Marston Magna, Somerset, the son of Charles Edward Croft, a dairyman, and his wife Martha.

1901 Living in Ringwood, an Apprentice Wheelwright to Albert Barker.[1]

1908 Married in Talbot Village, Dorset, to Frances Elizabeth Stockley. Alban is resident at 55 Albert Road, Addiscombe, and a coach body builder.

1911 Living at 55 Albert Road, Addiscombe, Surrey: Alban Crofts, (age 26 born Marston Magna, Somerset), Motor Body Maker. With his wife Frances Elizabeth Crofts (age 30 born Wallis Down, Dorset).[2]

1939 Living in Carshalton, Master Motor Body Builder, with his wife and two children.[3]
