Albert Joseph Cohen was born in 1910 and apprenticed at Fisher, Simmons and Rodway, of Durban.

He remained with the firm at the conclusion of his apprenticeship and was appointed Manager of the Assembly Division in 1941.

He died on 16th April, 1946, as the result of a motor accident, at the age of 36.

He was elected a Graduate in 1941 and an Associate Member in 1943.
