1799 Died. 'After a short illness, at his house in Streatham, aged 59, Alexander Boughton, Esq. many years an active partner in the firm of Collins and Co, Engine-manufacturers, at Lambeth, He was a man of great genius, and invented and executed many of the most complicated mechanical machines.'[1]
