1880 On application of Alexander, the appointment of a receiver to wind up John Brogden and Sons was agreed in Court. [3]The partnership was "dissolved as from the 26th day of July, 1880, by an Order of the Chancery Division of Her Majesty's High Court of Justice."[4]
1883 Alexander Brogden filed a petition for liquidation, with debts of nearly £3/4m. [5]
