ALEXANDER MAURICE LANE, born 21st August, 1854, died 8th October, 1916.

He served his pupilage under Messrs. Stothert and Pitt, Bath, and was engaged on various engineering work, chiefly connected with railways, in New Zealand, Canada, South America, Spain, Mexico and Japan.

From 1903 to 1905 he held the office of Advisory Engineer to the Government of British Honduras.

He was elected an Associate Member 1st December, 1885, and was transferred to the class of Members 22nd October, 1895.
