1911 Living at Abbeyville, Gorton, Manchester: Hanna Harriet Balmford (age 66 born Oldham), a Widow, with her three children; Edward Balmford (age 27 born Ashton-under-Lyne), Mechanical Engineer; Alfred Bickerton Balmford (age 25 born Warrington), Mechanical Engineer; and Mable Balmford (age 30 born Alsager). Also her brother Richard Bickerton (age 59 born Middleton), Mechanical Engineer. Four servants.[2]
