Divisional Superintendent for the Great Western Railway, Worcester and Birmingham Districts, 1918-1929; member of Worcester City Council, 1921-1923; appointed Justice of the Peace, Birmingham, 1926; member of the Birmingham Licensing and Compensation Authority, 1929; Guardian of the Birmingham Proof House, 1930; Member of the Visiting Committee, H.M.
