ALFRED GEORGE BENJAMIN PALMER, born at Portsmouth on the 8th April, 1881, died on the 22nd November, 1915.

In 1899 he entered the Admiralty service, and was employed as a draughtsman in the Works Loan Branch and subsequently in the Director of Works Department, at Portsmouth, Gibraltar, and in London.

In 1914 he was appointed by the Colonial Office to the Survey Department of the Nigerian Northern Provinces, and was home on leave at the time of his death.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 5th April, 1910.
