1852 Entered into partnership with his brother, Frederick Lawrence (1828-1864), and they jointly established the City Ironworks, London.

1858 Married Mary Elizabeth Ridge

1871 Engineer and iron founder, living in Kensington with Mary E Laurence 32, Ellen M Laurence 10, Annie J Laurence 7, Caroline A Laurence 5[2]

1875 of Hyde Park, died in Folkestone[3]
