1873 Assisted Messrs Barnett and Gale with their Portishead Ship Dock contract
1884 Assistant engineer, Harbour and rivers department, New South Wales
1889 Principal assistant engineer, harbours and rivers department, NSW Government department under C. W. Darley
c.1890 Engineer on improvements to Sydney Harbour
1891 Member of Inst Civil Engineers
