1899 Fitted an excellently planned steel windmill for raising water from a deep well to a large storage tank, near Ware, Herts for Mr C. J. Longman. The diameter of the windmill, known as the "Lion" was 16ft and was erected on a steel lattice work tower, 50ft high to the centre of the wheel.[1]
