1970 The Allied Polymer Group Ltd was incorporated by Slater, Walker Securities to concentrate its businesses in rubber and plastics, and acquire others.

1971 Allied Polymer acquired Greengate and Irwell Rubber Co and P. B. Cow and Co Ltd and the Frankenstein Group from Slater Walker Industrial Group Ltd[1]

1972 Acquired Robert Woodson, a private company specialising in surface treatment[2]

1973 Acquired Gandy, maker of clutch linings[3] and Jenag, a private company making strainers[4]

1974 Acquired Aldington Laboratories, maker of polymer medical products[5]

1977 Acquired by BTR Industries
