The 12/50 was first introduced in 1925 and was continually made until 1932.

The Alvis TE 12/50 drophead coupe featured in the images (in blue) is a four cylinder OVH 1645cc. Its chassis number is 9508 and engine number 4503. It was first registered to Fergus Ochinar Forbes on 29th March 1926. The original list price for this model in 1926 was £495. There were 863 cars produced. This car was purchased in1959 by Mr John Moore. It has covered over 250,000 miles.
