1935 The company was formed to acquire[1]:

The reason was said to be because these companies had previously been competitors. The company would be the largest supplier of roadstone (marcadam and chippings) in the sea-borne market. Several of the directors were directors of Roads Reconstruction (1934) Ltd.

1960 Planned to buy-out the minority shareholders in Amalgamated Limestone Corporation[2]

1968 Acquired by Consolidated Goldfields in surprise move[3]

1972 Amalgamated with Amey as Amey Roadstone Construction
