Ananias Dekke

Ananias Christopher Hansen Dekke (1832-1892), born and raised in Bergen, was Norway's leading builder of wooden ships in the second half of the 19thC.

He was an apprentice at Georgernes Shipyard in Bergen, and with the shipbuilder Donald Mackay in Boston, USA, where he learned to build fast clipper ships.
