ANDREW LAMBERTON died on August 23, 1928.

He was the designer of several important steel plants in Scotland and England, and at his works at Sunnyside, Coatbridge, he built much of the machinery in operation in steelworks to-day.

He became a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1894; in 1905 he was made a Member of Council, in 1914 he became a Vice-President, and in 1926 he was elected an Hon. Vice-President. He was awarded the Bessemer Gold Medal of the Institute in 1917 in recognition of his distinguished services in the development of mechanical engineering as applied to the manufacture of iron and steel.
