"Mr Anthony Powis Bale (Member), son of M. Powis Bale the famous woodworking machinery engineer, died on 3rd September.

He will be chiefly remembered for his contributions to Engineering, Power and Works Engineer, the Machinist, the Automobile Engineer and numerous other engineering journals.

The Institution has lost a good friend who retained his active interest in our pursuits to the end."
