1868 Patent No. 1727. To Archibald Edmeston and Charles Edmeston, of Salford, in the county of Lancaster, Engineers and Machinists, for the invention of "improvements in machinery or apparatus for panting hanks of yarns or threads and warps with one or more colors."[1]
1881 Living in Gerald Road, Broughton in Salford: Archibald Edmeston (age 73 born Scotland), Mechanical Engineer master employing 54 workpeople - Widower. With his son Alfred Edmeston (age 29 born Salford), mechanical Engineer's Draughtsman, and his daughter Helen Edmeston (age 28 born Salford).[2]
1884 October 24th. Died. Probate to Gray Denison Edmeston, his son.
