ARMISTEAD KEITH BAYLOR died, at the age of 61, on the 1st August, 1929, at Ipswich, Massachusetts.
He joined the Thomson-Houston Electric Co. of America in 1891, and was for several years constructional and inspecting engineer in electric traction.
He then spent two years as engineering assistant to the manager of the railway department of the General Electric Co of America.
In 1896 he was appointed manager of the traction department of the British Thomson-Houston Co.
After 14 years in England he returned to the United States to rejoin the General Electric Co. and he remained with that firm until his death.
He was elected a Member of the Institution in 1898.
