1875 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, Elijah Crossfield, John Garner Shaw, Sam Armitage, James Bowling Clabour, and Robert Slater Earl, carrying on business as Engineers, Millwrights, Machine Makers, and Iron and Brass Founders, at Well-hill. Yeadon, in the county of York, under the style or firm of Armitage, Clabour, and Company, was this day dissolved by mutual consent, so far only as the said Robert Slater Earl is concerned, who retires from the said partnership. The business will in future be carried on by the said Elijah Crossfield., John Garner Shaw, 8am Armitage, and James Bowling Clabour, under the style or firm of Armitage, Clabour, and Company...'[1]
