Arthur James Edsall (1857-1941)

Born c1857 at Norwood, Surrey the son of Joseph, a Building Surveyor and his wife Ellen.

1884 Q3. Married to Margaret Small in Lambeth

1891 He is living at 117 Dalyell Road, Lambeth (age 34 and born in Norwood), employed in the Civil Service G.P.O. and living with his wife Margaret, their two children age 3 and 4, in the home of his father-in-law Robert Small.

1896 Driver of the car involved in the first known death on the roads when he killed Bridget Driscoll. He was then living at Woodland Road, Upper Norwood.

He died in 1941 aged 84
