1881-1887 Superintending Engineer of British Shipowners' Co., Liverpool, Atlantic and Colonial Steamers

1887-90 Partner in Rait and Gardiner

1890 Consulting engineer in private practice in Liverpool as Consulting Marine Engineer and Surveyor.

1890 Member of Inst Civil Engineers

1894 of Central-buildings, North John-street, Liverpool, Marine Engineer and Surveyor.

1897 Married (2) Marie Roberts.

1913 Chaired a meeting of the committee of the Engine-room Heroes Memorial Fund.

1929 Died in Liverpool[1]
