c1818 Born at Tiverton the son of the Revd William Baily Whitehead and his wife Marianne Tuson

1846 Married Harriet Bidwell Lewis.[1]

1851 Living at Dawlish: Arthur Whitehead (age 33 born Tiverton), Civil Engineer and Surveyor. With his wife Harriet Whitehead (age 36 born Exeter) and their three children; Ellen Whitehead (age 4 born Exeter); Marianne Whitehead (age 2 born Exeter); and Emily Whitehead (age 1 born Exeter). Two servants.[2]

1881 Living at Richmond Villa, Clevedon: Arthur Whitehead (age 61 born Tiverton), M. Institution Civil Engineers. With his wife Harriet B. Whitehead (age 67 born Exeter) and thei daughter Katherine Whitehead (age 25 born St. Sidwells, Devon). One servant.[3]

1891 Living at 7 Filly Vale, Frome: Arthur Whitehead (age 71 born Tiverton). Living on own means. With his wife Alice Elizabeth Whitehead (age 55 born Rodmarton, Glos.). One servant.[4]

1892 May 20th. Died. Of Frome. 'at Willow Vale, Frome, Arthur Whitehead, age 73.'[5]
