Hop Merchants

Established in 1841 by the late John Hyem Wolton, J.P. Became on his decease Wolton, Son & Co.; title altered in 1899 to present form. Pre sent Principals: Percival Wolton and Sidney Arthur Wolton (grandsons of the founder). Premises: Extensive Hop Warehouses adjoining the Office, and capable of containing 15,000 packages of hops under one roof. Hydraulic Machinery has been introduced for compressing hops for export. Business: General Hop Merchants; also dealers in Isinglass.
