1865 Had the task of devising or selecting suitable forms of rails for the system of railroads occupying the central part of the State of New Jersey, between Philadelphia and New York of which has was the executive officer as well as the engineer.[1]

1874 Member of a committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers on the form, endurance and manufacture of rails, published in the American Railroad Gazette and reproduced in The Engineer.
