Ashworth, Son and Co of Midland Iron Works, Dewsbury; Branch Works: Thomas Street Works, Smethwick, Birmingham.
1905 Thomas Alderson retired from the partnership with Samuel Ashworth under the style of "Alderson, Ashworth and Co", weighing machinists, Tithe Barn-street, Dewsbury. The business was carried on by Messrs. Ashworth, Son and Co. at the Midland Ironworks, Watergate, Dewsbury.[1]

c1936 merged with Charles Ross Limited of Aizlewood Road, Sheffield to form Ashworth Ross and Co [3]
