1855 A petition of Bankruptcy was filed against William Aspdin and Augustus William Ord, both of Blackwall, Gateshead-on-Tyne, and New Wharf, Little Abingdon-street, in the city of Westminster, Cement Manufacturers, Dealers and Chapmen, trading under the style or firm of Aspdin, Ord, aud Co. A public sitting of the Court was arranged to be held in Newcastle upon Tyne.[1]
