Auchindrean Bridge
Iron Bridge, Auchindrean
c.1870 Designed by Sir John Fowler, serving part of his Braemore and Inverbroom Estate.
A handsome lenticular-truss bridge of wrought-iron construction, with the wooden deck suspended from the truss by lattice girders. The abutments extend upwards to form semicircular corbelled piers, which support the ends of the trusses. Unique in Scotland.
