AUGUSTUS HERLENIUS died suddenly on February 28, 1930, as the result of a stroke.
At the time of the Institute's Autumn Meeting in Sweden in 1926 he was a member of the Local Reception Committee and also of the Executive Committee, which were charged with the organisation of the arrangements for the entertainment of the guests. He was also a member of the board of Jernkontoret, managing director of Uddeholms A.B., and First Gentleman of the Bed Chamber to H.M. the Binab of Sweden. Since then he became president of the board of Jernkontoret, which position he held at the time of his death.
He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1896.
