Formed in the autumn of 1900
1901-02 Supported Charles Friswell in his defence against the case brought by the British Motor Traction Co for infringement of the Maybach carburetter patents. Friswell wins the case and other pending cases brought by the MTTC are then struck out.
1904 W. H. Maudslay of Coventry was elected chair of the mechanical transport committee[1]
