Dougal, No. 8581, Reg DW 2166, built 1915, 5 NHP, 10 tons.

This single cylinder slide valve roller was supplied new to Henry Richards and Son of Newport, Monmouth in 1915. It was then sold to Barnes Brothers, Southwick, Wiltshire, where it worked until the 1960's. It ws purchased by the present owner in 1970 from a market garden near Dorchester where it had been used for sterilising soil. It was rallied in Dorset for 5 years, then moved to Cornwall with the owner, Stephen Cox of Redruth in 1975.[1]
