Bo Peep. No 5541. Built 1904. Reg No: PP 581. 3 nhp, 3 tons. XA3 Steam Tractor.

Bo Peep was built in 1904 and shipped to Lord Lancaster on July 8th 1904, but returned as unsuitable.

She is believed to be the only surviving XA3 Steam Tractor. She was restored back to tractor after 80 years as a roller.

Originally used for furniture removals and light haulage by Quinnell and Sons.

1915. Sold from Seven Oaks to Green Street, Green, Kent.

Early 1920's. With Henry Lewis of Reading.

1923. Sold to Boughton's of Amersham along with an identical engine, both converted into steam rollers. Sold on to somebody in Cheshire.

1937. Firebox replaced.

1955. Found in Jessie Vine's Yard by Charles and Phyliss Gregory. Brought to Coombe, Camborne in time for the first West of England Steam Engine Society Rally and has attended all but one since.

1998. Purchased by the Stock family of Falmouth, Cornwall, who continue its refurbishment. [1]
