  • 1890 Partnership of Benedict Joseph Duggan and John Edward Parry, carrying on business as oil merchants, refiners and importers, at the Cobden Street Oil & Grease Works, Water Street, Manchester, as B J Duggan & Co., dissolved by mutual consent. [1]
  • 1895 Listed as Grease manufacturers, oil manufacturers, tallow merchants and importers. The address, 5 New Wakefield Street, was shared with John Greenall (laundry engineers) and with Stubb's Patent Co. [2]
  • The New Wakefield Street premises, named 'Atlantic Oil & Chemical Works', faced the viaduct at Oxford Road Station, and were somewhat less impressive than the imposing company name might suggest, as can be seen from some 1897 photographs [3]
