1966 General manager, electronics, The Marconi Company, was elected president for 1966-67, at the Fourth General Assembly of the European Organisation for Civil Aviation Electronics (EUROCAE). Dr O'Kane was one of the architects of this organisation, which was formed in 1963 to provide a co-ordinating body for European aviation electronics, both manufacturers and users.[1]
