1885 The company was registered on April 10th, to take over the business of the firm of the same name as tobacco manufacturers and importers, and on June 11th 1890, was re-registered in connection with a reduction of the capital by nearly £55,000.

1927 The MD is Arthur J. May and the Chairman is W. Somers L. Schuster.[1]

1956 'An attempt to secure the voluntary winding up of the London tobacco firm of B. Morris and Sons failed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in London yesterday. Shareholders’ opposition to a gift coupon scheme culminated fort-night ago in changes in the board of the company. The new chairman Mr S. R. Hogg said yesterday that the meeting to consider the resolution that the company should wound up voluntarily was called by the old board. The present directors intended to vote against the proposal. “In our opinion it is far too early to any decision as to whether the company should put into liquidation or not” said Mr Hogg While the board was examining the whole position of company the company continued to trade and was carrying on'[2]
