1963 Acquired by Courtaulds. The MD of Bairns-Wear is R. B. Holland; Chairman is Clement L. O'Callaghan.[4]

1969 Bairnswear is one of largest knitwear companies in the UK with factories at Worksop (and Armagh) in addition to Nottingham ...member of Courtaulds group'[5]
