Spindle-making company established at Albany Spindle Works, Pellon by Fred Bairstow and his brother?? They also had business at the former Mixenden Corn Mill between 1845 and 1898.

Bairstow Brothers is essentially a family firm, whose origins in Halifax go back to the late 19th Century.

Bairstow Brothers are continuing to manufacture Willis and Bates' existing product lines, as well as actively seeking to diversify into new markets and capitalise on the good work that Willis and Bates have done since the company was founded in the late nineteenth century.
